The Douget Brothers: Roots in Louisiana

The Douget brothers grew up surrounded by the natural beauty of south Louisiana. Their childhood was filled with days spent hunting and fishing in the bayous, swamps, and rivers, fully immersed in the Cajun way of life.

Paths Diverge: Staying and Serving

After graduating from high school, the brothers took different paths. The older brother chose to remain in south Louisiana, holding on to the home and traditions they cherished. The younger brother, seeking new experiences, joined the military. After completing his service, he eventually settled in the Austin area, where he has lived for almost twenty years.

A New Home in Austin

During his time in Austin, the younger Douget brother witnessed many changes in the city. Although Louisiana will always hold a special place in his heart, he has come to love the Austin area and its welcoming people.

Sharing Cajun Cuisine: Out Tha Bayou Crawfish

Driven by their passion for one of Louisiana’s most celebrated cuisines, the brothers decided to open Out Tha Bayou Crawfish. Their goal is simple: to deliver fresh, high-quality crawfish for everyone to enjoy.
